Madden, Elizabeth J - Age 90, of Burton, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, at home.There will be a one day viewing and funeral service on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 10am until time of service at 7pm at The New Dawn Chapel, 1569 E. Elba Rd. Lapeer, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Elizabeth was born Christmas day in 1921 in Barberton, Ohio. Elizabeth married Joseph Madden on June 14, 1947. She lived in Burton for 62 years, spending her time loving and raising six children, 14 grand children and 17 great grand children. She enjoyed life and favorite hobby, an occasional visit to the horse races. Most of all, she loved to have her family around her laughing and enjoying each other. Her family was her world. Surviving are her children Barb Marzi of Birch Run, Maureen "Reene" (and husband Ron) Gilbert St. James Florida, Joseph Madden of Davison, Patrick (and wife Kimberly) Madden of White Lake, Todd Madden of Burton, 14 grand children, 17 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and son Peter Madden, granddaughter Stephanie Marzi and son-in-law Ron Marzi.
